StonegateFx is a one-person boutique pedal workshop based in Toronto, Canada. Every pedal that leaves this shop is designed, assembled, and tested by hand — one at a time, with no shortcuts.

The Workshop

The studio sits in Toronto, where each pedal is built from the ground up. There's no assembly line here — just a workbench, a soldering iron, and an obsessive attention to detail. Small-batch production means every unit gets the time and care it deserves before it ships.

The Process

Each StonegateFx pedal starts with a circuit design refined through extensive prototyping and real-world playing. Components are sourced for quality and longevity — premium film capacitors, hand-matched transistors, low noise resistors, as well as premium potentiometers and switches.

Before any pedal ships, it goes through a full functional test and a listening session. If it doesn't sound right, it doesn't go out.

Why Handmade?

Mass-produced pedals are built to a price. Handmade pedals are built to a standard. When you plug in a StonegateFx pedal, you're hearing a circuit that was designed with intention, assembled with care, and tested by the same hands that built it. That connection between maker and player matters — and it shows up in the tone.

Who is StonegateFx

StonegateFx is a one person show. That person is me! Igor A. I went to college for Electromechanical Engineering and started repairing and building pedals. Soon enough by 2019 I thought of a cool name and that turned into StonegateFx!
