Let's meet today's patient

Digitech Digiverb Digital Reverb

Problem:

Pedal does not turn on when switch is pressed

Initial Observations:

Indicator LED blinks when power is applied

Bypass works fine which indicates the buffer works fine hence there is probably no problems with the power

Lets take it apart..

Ah there's the problem. Perhaps someone already tried to repair it?

The Diagnosis

The bypass switch definitly looks a bit suspicious..

When powered on the switch does not turn on the pedal, but when the two switch contacts are shorted, the pedal turns on! Mystery solved

The Repair

The old switch was removed and a new switch was soldered in.

Switch part # OMRON B3F-6002

Pedal tested and works good as new!

Another pedal kept out of a landfill
